THE SERENITY PRAYER -  Great for new beginnings. For someone who is overcoming an illness, divorce or hard time in their life.

God grant me the serenity, To accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.  Grant me patience with the things that take time, tolerance of the struggles of others that may be different from my own, appreciation for all I have, and the willingness to get up and try again, one day at a time.

REMEMBER ME - Now that I am gone, remember me with smiles and laughter. And if you need to cry, cry with your brother, sister, father or friend who walk in grief beside you. And when you need me, put your arms around anyone and give them what you need to give me. There are so many who need so much. I want to leave you something-- something much better than words or sounds. Look for me in the people I've known or helped in some special way. Let me live in your heart as well as in your mind. You can love me most by letting your love reach out to our loved ones, by embracing them & living in their love. Love does not die, people do. So, when all that's left of me is love, give me away as best you can.

OF BUTTERFLIES AND SECOND CHANCES

I tell of hearts and souls and dances…

Butterflies and second chances;

Desperate ones and dreamers abound,

Seeking life from barren ground.

Who suffer on in earthly fate

The bitter pain of angry hate.

Might but they stop and here forgive

Would break the bonds to breathe and live

And find that God in goodness brings

A chance for change, the hope for wings

To rest in Him, and self to die

And so become a butterfly.
